REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (100 lbs or more) repeatedly while climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and walking.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum age: 18 for movers, 21 for drivers.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Professional attitude and demeanor.
- Reliable and punctual transportation.
- Experience in moving, truck driving, general labor, or warehouse work is a plus but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver outstanding customer service while safely moving, packing, and unpacking customer belongings.
- Conduct a walk-through of the premises with customers upon arrival.
- Communicate professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Assist drivers with truck inspections and maintaining moving equipment inventory.
- Accurately complete paperwork and handle payment collections.
- Experience in general labor, landscaping, construction, or warehouse work is helpful but not mandatory.
HOURS
We operate Monday through Saturday, starting typically between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM and finishing most days between 1 PM and 5 PM (with earlier finishes around noon to 2 PM on Saturdays). Scheduling is flexible, and we can accommodate specific day-off requests with at least 2 weeks’ notice. While some days can be physically demanding, others may be more relaxed depending on the workload.
ATTIRE
- Work shirts and hoodies will be provided (first set free).
- Additional shirts or hoodies can be purchased at half cost.
- Acceptable bottoms include athletic pants, shorts, sweatpants, or jeans.
- Work shirts are required daily.
TYPICAL DAY
- Start your day by meeting at the moving trucks in Andover.
- Travel with the team to the job site to load items, then head to the unload location.
- Depending on the schedule, you may move on to another job or return to the meet-up location.
- Duties include wrapping furniture, loading and unloading items, and ensuring customer and employee safety.
- Employees are expected to stay on task, be reliable, and avoid unnecessary downtime.
- Advancement opportunities include becoming a driver, leading crews, or working cross-country jobs.
SAFETY
- Safety is our top priority—for both employees and customers’ belongings.
- Take your time when moving; careful handling prevents damage more effectively than speed or strength.
- Training is provided on proper moving techniques, including wrapping, strapping, and protecting items.
RELIABILITY
- Tardiness and absences are unacceptable. Scheduling is flexible, but we expect punctuality and reliability once shifts are assigned. We’re flexible with scheduling, but when it comes to actually being scheduled, we expect you to show up and on time. With our industry we schedule guys for exactly the amount we need on the job, so we can’t have people be late or not showing up.
